    The UP B.Ed JEE (Uttar Pradesh Bachelor of Education Joint Entrance Examination) is a state-level entrance exam conducted annually by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to shortlist candidates for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programs at various colleges and universities in the state. The exam is a prerequisite for admission to most B.Ed colleges in UP.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR B.ED

    To be eligible for a B.Ed program in Uttar Pradesh, you generally need a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks for the General category, and 45% for SC/ST categories. Engineering/Technology graduates with a specialization in science and mathematics need 55%

    • State Residency:

    You generally need to be a resident of Uttar Pradesh to be eligible for admission, but non-residents can still apply as General category. 

    • Exam:

    The UP B.Ed JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is usually required for admission to B.Ed programs in the state, though some colleges may offer direct admission. 

    • Age:

    There is no upper age limit for pursuing a B.Ed, but some institutions may specify a minimum age of 21 years at the time of admission.

    ELIGIBILITY

    To be eligible for a B.Ed. program in Haryana, candidates generally need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Engineering degrees with a specialization in Science and Mathematics require a 55% minimum. Relaxations in the minimum percentage are available for SC/ST/Blind/Visually and Differently Abled candidates. 

    Detailed Eligibility Criteria

    • General Category:

    Minimum 50% marks in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university. For Engineering degrees in Science and Mathematics, a minimum of 55% is required. 

    • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/Blind/Visually and Differently Abled):

    A minimum of 47.5% marks in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. For Engineering degrees, a minimum of 52.55% is required.
